Alcatraz & Angel Island

After Yosemite everyone came back to our area for a few days. We met at 7:30am at Starbucks in San Carlos and drove to SF to catch the Ferry. Our friends from Sweden were visiting California and arranged their schedule to be in SF at the same time and spend the day with us. Bo lived with us in Chicago in 1986 for 6 months. It was so fun to meet his family. Bo's oldest daughter, Olivia, will be going to Santa Barbara City College for a year.

Yosemite

We spent 3 nights and 4 days in beautiful Yosemite with my whole family to mark a special occasion. Aunt Mil turned 80 years young. What an incredible place to mark the occasion. The weather was gorgeous and of course scenery awesome and hanging out with family can't be beat. Josephine loved all the attention. Happy Birthday Aunt Mil. We all love you!!!!

Two Years of Wedded Bliss!

It's hard to believe we're celebrating two years of marriage. It feels so comfortable and in some ways like we've been married for a long time. We're so grateful for our marriage. So much has happened in two years. We're so thankful for the blessing of Josephine in our little family. Here's a few pictures to mark the occasion.

This picture doesn't fit the theme but I keep forgetting to post it. Her hair is lying flat now-a-days and we miss her mohawk. This picture is at 4 months. We love her profile. Such a sweet little nose. 

5 months old!

Such a big girl. She's mastered rolling from back to front and front to back. She grabs for things and puts everything in her mouth. Majority of time she sleeps in her sleep sack and doesn't need her swaddle although sometimes she needs it to help her settle down otherwise she rolls all over the place. We sometimes find her head at the opposite end of the crib. She loves to sleep with her paci and a miniature soft snuggle blankie, lying on her tummy. She's very interested in eating and loves to watch us eat. At about 5 1/2 months we can introduce her to cereal. We sometimes find her on her hands and knees. Oh boy, it won't be long before she's crawling. She's been on a four hour schedule since 4 months old. She eats every 4 hrs and usually sleeps 2 hrs before her next feeding. She basically dropped two feedings b/c she no longer needed her 10pm dream feed. She slept from about 8:15 to 7am. Since she didn't really make up for her dropped feedings by eating more at each feeding a couple weeks ago I added the 10pm dream feed back in. The doctor thought it was a good idea since her weight is on the low side. What a great eater and sleeper she continues to be and for that we're so thankful. What a joy she is.
