4 years 5 months

Highlights from the past month.
June 8th San Mateo County Fair. Eric was sick in bed when we were scheduled to go to the fair with Kaira's family. It was also the hottest day of the year so far. We went on a Sunday early evening. By the time we left at 7:30 it was so pleasant outside. Josie and Kaira had fun seeing all the 4H animals, the petting zoo, a couple rides and of course a highlight is the corn dog.
Friday the 13th. Kirsten graduated from high school. Friday night Josie and I hung out at their house holding down the fort and everyone came over after graduation for some appetizers (around 8:30-10:30pm. Late night). Even Rocket was there. Josie slept in until 9:30 Sat morning. We went back to Jody's for an early evening BBQ celebration. Kirsten heads off to Baylor in Tx this fall. Congratulations!!!
Father's Day
Theme at PCC this summer is Heroes of the Bible. Father's Day theme was dad as hero of the family.
Josie jumping up and trying to fly....
Cute picture cube Josie made at school.
We met Mazarine and her mom Jennifer at the park for a play date. Super hot out and they had fun in the water.  You can't really see Mazerine's face but she's having fun. We were there for over 3 hrs.
Visiting the pet store and checking out the kittens ready for adoption.
PCC preschool play date. Josie had fun with the theme of creation. Lots of fun activities. This is just a few. She dressed as a ladybug for singing and story time.
Woke up for school wanting to be a princess.
Our 2nd annual LPCH Summer Scamper. It's a fund raiser for LP Children's Hosp. Lots of kids participated in the runs and fun runs. I pushed Josie for the 5k and we actually got 3rd in my age group. It was a fun run on the Stanford campus.
Josie getting ready for her 200 meter race on the track. I didn't know she would take it so seriously. She was quite focused before the run. So many kids ran. Her group was 3 & 4 years old and some parents ran with their kids. Josie wanted to do it by herself.
I brought her right up to the front so she wouldn't get lost in the crowd.
Video of her run. I didn't realize I needed to tell her to start running when they said "go". You'll see her little pink hat run by at the 10 sec mark.
Participating in some of the post race activities.
 Fun obstacle course.
Our little fashionista decided to pull out her "fancy" clothes and create outfits including panties to go with each one. She's been wearing them all week.
Last Friday was a busy day. I had a 9am meeting at work I needed to attend. I dropped Josie off at the office to hang out with Cecille and Manny was there too. She was kept busy for 90 min. She picked out the hat to go with her outfit.
Next we went to Palo Alto Jr Museum. We hadn't been in awhile. Checking out the peacock. The desert plants matched all the colors in her sundress.
Climbing on the sculpture as we were leaving.
Next stop: dentist. We both had appts.
We stopped for an ice cream treat and then final stop at the San Carlos Library. Josie finally got her library card. She's mastered her "s" and was ready to go. We signed up for the summer reading club and have our assignment to work on literacy for 30 days. So proud of our big girl.

On Sunday Josie helped Gahaus make apricot jam.
