5 yrs 11 months

December highlights!

Song Josie learned at school.

We took a kindergarten field trip to Redwood City production of Nutcracker. There were a bunch of kids and adults from PCC in the production so that was fun. I was a driver for Josie and 3 others.
Zadie came home from school with us.
They put on their own performance of the Nutcracker
Hot chocolate and popcorn snack break.
Josie made notes for the their performance.

Josie had a play date with Anai at Mazzie's. They were in home day care together 3 yrs ago and have stayed friends.

Santa Lucia breakfast at PCC. We sat with Janet and her mom Virginia and Janet's sister-in-law.
Santa Lucia Day Dec 13. We didn't celebrate much this year. It was on a Sunday so I served Swedish pancakes with the crown on my head.
Josie's first sleep over was with Kaira at our house. Sniffles started off with them on the floor. I had to eventually take him out. Then Josie had to go up to her bed or these two would never have fallen asleep. Swedish pancakes for breakfast.
Nativity scene at PCC.
Annual walk down Eucalyptus to see the lights.

Josie and I went to visit Uncle Hank to bring some Christmas cheer. We brought a Poinsettia plant, soup and Christmas cookies. He really appreciated it. We had fun singing some songs from the hymnal.

Last year Uncle Hank gave me the Christmas Cactus. I think there was one bloom last year. This year in Nov there were a bunch of little buds. So fun to see it bloom. It was a cutting from my Grandpa and Grandma Anderson that Aunt Mil had transplanted and continue to transplant the cuttings. In a small way it makes me feel connected to Aunt Mil and to my Grandparents.
Sniffles in the recycling bag; along for the ride during tooth brush routine; finally, curled up with Josie in bed sleeping back to back.
Time for another hair cut before trip to SB. A little shorter this time compared to her short cut before school started.
 Cute little Sniffles.
Celebrating my birthday with dinner at our house with the Rankin's.
