Neighborhood activities

On August 10th we met our neighbors at Burton Park for the Friday night concert. It was Steely Dan music and it was really fun. We don't usually go to those b/c it's so loud and crowded but this week it wasn't crowded or too loud and we had fun with our neighbors. Satoshi and Shuli and Shuli's dad Tony; Justin, Brigit & Kaira and their friends (family of 4) staying in their guest house. We ate at picnic tables, the kids played in the park for a bit and then we went up front to dance. I didn't know Shuli was such a good dancer.

The next weekend Shuli's dad cooked us an authentic Taiwanese meal. He cooked all the things that are served on special holidays. There was a lot of food and it was delicious. Josie was eating it too.

The next night they came to our house for a typical American dinner - pizza. Although this was homemade pizza. Shuli wanted to experience making it this time since she watched Eric the last time so together they made the tomato basil one. In the oven was the spicy sausage with jalapenos and pineapple. I combination we tried and loved when we were in Colorado. While the chefs were busy Josie grabbed the hands of Satoshi and Tony and brought them in to her room to help her organize her beads.

Wed. Aug 22 Andy Z had a concert at the Redwood Shores Library. We parked at the library and then headed out on the trail along the bay. Eric & Josie on the bike and I ran. We got back to the library for a fun concert. Brigit, Justin & Kaira were there too.

On Friday we went hiking with Brigit & Kaira on the Eaton trail. First time Kaira's been hiking and come to find out she loves to hike and she is a speedy hiker. At one point Josie sat down to play in the dirt with some rocks under a tree while Brigit followed after Kaira. Next to Stafford Park to run in the sprinklers (they turned out 10 min. after we got there) and to eat lunch and play in the park. Home for naps and then we met up again at My Gym. It's cute to watch them play together.
