4 years 2 months

Josie has been a busy little bee the past month. She authored and illustrated a book. She put on a dance performance. She went to 4 kid birthday parties. She went to see Sound of Music musical. Started swimming lessons again. Had a haircut. Had her 4 yr old check-up. First attempt on her own, across the monkey bars. Got her first pet, and was full of her usual silliness. In advance I apologize for the long entry. I'm not very good posting pics on a regular basis. Enjoy!

Josie's story is 5 pages long.

Gram and Papa came for a 5 day visit and we had great sunny weather. Eric and I had a night away in SF and Josie enjoyed lots of time with Gram & Papa. We went to see the Mountain View Youth Players put on the Sound of Music. The fountain was outside the theater.

Gram, mommy, & Josie all got hair cuts from our usual gal, Lei. Josie really needed a hair cut. Her hair had gotten so long and her ends were in bad shape so about 3 inches later she had nice healthy hair again.

Happy St. Patricks Day from Josie & Kit. Thanks Katie for passing on Kit and all her clothes.
Josie got to wear a big girl gown for her appt with Dr. Browne. She also had her first hearing test and eye test. Passed everything with flying colors. She's in the high teens and low 20's for percentile in height and weight.
First day at the pool for the year. Loving that in March. Josie took a 3 month break from swim lessons and one trip to the pool and she's ready to get back in lessons.
Video of her swimming in kid pool
The next week dad even got in the pool with her. The next day she started lessons and got a blue ribbon for her roll overs. Good job Josie!
Acting silly at Aunt Jody's when Uncle Arnie and Aunt Sandy were visiting from OR.
Yeah, finally a play date with Kaira. Got to show off her teepee. Took some fun pictures along our walk back to Kaira's house.
Josie and Kaira both participated in the San Carlos Children's Theatre class for 8 weeks (thanks Gram & Papa). They both loved it. The last day they put on a performance of their skills. It was super cute. I was impressed with how much they learned.
Videos of performance.
Not sure where Josie learned her poses. Bring on the birthdays.
Josie's first pet caterpillar found in the back yard at one of the parties. I think he's dead but still sitting in a jar on her table filled with grass and dirt. Maybe she'll check on him one of these days unless he flies out as a butterfly.
Kaira's birthday at Pump It Up.
Video of the climbing wall. Highest she's gone. This was her 3rd time at Pump It Up.
She can't wait to get her ears pierced but for now enjoys her clip ons.

This was her first attempt at Monkey Bars and then she tried it again and made it across.
She borrowed Monopoly from Gahaus. Love the simpler, QUICK version.
We've been enjoying lots of rain this month and saw this great rainbow driving down 280 on our way to a Stanford Men's gymnastics meet. You can barely make out the 2nd rainbow on top. Another weekend we went to watch Stanford women compete in sand volleyball. No rainbows that day, just rain.
