Here goes a month of pics.
The first weekend in Oct we went to the (put your) Hoes Down Harvest Festival. The 28th annual event. It was incredible all the fun and activities and great music. We hope to go back next year. The draw was the Anderson Family Bluegrass Band. Well it's just the kids now and they're called Paige Anderson and the Fearless Kin.
It was about 90 min away off of Hwy 16 out in the boonies in Capay Valley (Guinda, CA) on Cache Creek. It felt so good to walk in the creek on this very hot day.
Josie wanted to go for a ride. She was pretty unhappy after since the water was kinda dirty with hay in it.

7 years ago they started playing at this festival. Same year they played at our wedding.
Another musician. We didn't really hear any others b/c there were so many fun kid activities.
Huge haystack fort with rooms, like a maze inside. Josie had so much fun.
Josie did an obstacle course. First milk the fake cow, carry the milk across the bridge, find a chicken egg and carry it under your chin and climb over a haystack, dig for a potato in the dirt and wheel it in a wheel barrow.

We went back to our camper for a little "rest" and Josie climbed trees.
We went back for a family event with musicians and story telling. There were lanterns on long sticks to light our way and we wound our way to different stops on the farm. It ended right by the creek when out of the blue lightening and thunder added to the ambiance. Rain started pretty quickly so we all ran to a huge tent. Eric had already gone back to the main area to get food and he had the backpack with my phone and flashlight and my sweatshirt. It was super dark. As soon as the rain let up to a drizzle we made our way up in the dark and then found Eric on his way down to look for us. We ate our dinner and headed to our camper for a good night sleep unlike many who had sleeping bags on a tarp or tents without rain flaps. It got super windy too. Another reason we were glad to be in a camper.

We did a lot of cheering for the Cubs and look forward to cheering next year and seeing Grampa Rich in a Cub's cap.
Josie joined Trinity choir and they sang in church recently. First by themselves and then with the adult choir. There are four little blondies in choir that all go to school together. Kaira, Olivia, Louise and Josie.
We surprised Josie with an early Christmas present. She's been asking for a pet for Christmas all wrapped in a box (with holes).
One happy girl.
Sniffles got his name b/c he had a cold. Here he is coming home with his new family.
Sniffles doesn't like riding in grocery carts or princess purses.
So fun to have Gram and Papa visit. There's always time to play monopoly, read books, and not to mention plenty of back rubs.
Light show downtown Redwood City. It was really cool. We ate dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

Friday afternoon Goblin Walk down town San Carlos. Massive amounts of people. We walked around with Kaira and little sis Ashlyn and their parents and grandparents.
Back this year to Eucalyptus for trick or treating. Crazy amounts of people and over the top decorations. After we went to Shirley and Rich's to hang out and Josie opened the door for their trick or treat-ers.
Josie loves her new Puppy Pals.
She had to play her harmonica and then found her nail polish hidden away.
Sad to say good bye to Gram and Papa. Glad Halloween is over and to see that Fall is here with a little chill in the air and rain in the forecast.
