We took advantage of a break in the rain and went on a family hike.
Trying out her "new" boots
Finally using the backpack. Thanks Soowon for passing it on to us.
Here are a few things we saw on our hike....
Here's where our street ends and the trail to cross the canyon begins.
Bushes of poison oak off the trail.
Walking back to the path after checking out a sink hole.
Random shipping container along the way.
The creek continues to get wider as the sides erode.
More water then I've seen in a long time.
The catch basin for all the drainage in the hills
In front of Gramp's garage Eric stores his hand-made sand blast cabinet. Last night before the heavy rains came he made a "sweet" cover for it. The old cover was coming apart.
This summer Gramp's bushes will be filled with black berries.
Not an uncommon site in our hills. At least the brown tarps look better than the bright blue ones.
Turning up our street
Last picture before my battery died. Josie loved being up high and not in a stroller for once. We even saw some blue sky in between the dark clouds. We were glad the rain held out. Thanks for coming along.
