Sierra Camp 2012

On May 17-20 we had our 18th Annual Healthy Living Retreat at the Stanford Camp in South Lake Tahoe on Fallen Leaf Lake. It was beautiful and the sunny, warm weather was great. Great speakers, fantastic food, and great scenery. My mom came with to take care of Josie when I worked. There were a few other grandmas there watching their grand kids while the moms worked. Josie had lots of fun and got lots of attention.

Xavier is 2.5 and his mom Nicole was one of the presenters. Nicole and I work together and unfortunately her last day of work was on the 21st and they moved back to Atlanta. Xavier and his grandma hung out on our deck with Josie and Gram one afternoon.

After dinner the kids would gather in the corner by our tables and play. Here Scotty (3.5) was showing Josie high five, down low, too slow. Josie has her arm around 7 yr old Hannah who took great interest in Josie and wanted to sit with her every dinner.

One evening the hula instructor gave the kids a little show while everyone else was listening to a speaker. The kids had fun with the lit up hulas. Hannah couldn't hula at all at the beginning and then she got so good with practice over the weekend and so did her 5 yr old brother. Josie and Xavier were playing ring around the rosie inside one as well as rolling it around. The instructor, Julie, was showing some hula tricks.

With Josie in the back pack I took a hike with Hannah and her family.
