So she's not here yet but I did skip spinning this morning. Instead I went with my friend Tara to hear our other friend do the lecture for women's Bible study at CPC. My mom and dad called and they're on their way up from Santa Barbara so the sheets are in the wash and another batch of choc. chip cookies are in the oven. Starting tomorrow my parents will stay at Annie and Gary's little cottage behind their house about 2 miles from us. What a blessing for them to have a little space of their own while they're here. Tomorrow they might induce me after my late afternoon appointment but still hoping she'll come on her own before that point. If not, tomorrow or Friday will be just fine. I woke up at 1:30 am this morning wide awake. Could it be the choc. chips from two cookies last night would be enough caffeine to wake me up? I've become so sensitive to caffeine in the last couple years. I decided to read through the Psalms and loved reading Psalm 139. I know the Lord is still knitting this baby girl in my womb so I'll be content waiting on God's timing. O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
