Eight weeks old today. Time is flying by. She weighs 10 lbs 11 oz. Such a happy little baby. Josephine and I traveled by Amtrak train to SB last Tuesday. Unfortunately Eric stayed home to work. It's a 300 mile drive, about 5 hrs. in the car. On the train it takes about 8 hrs. It's a gorgeous ride that goes partly along the coast and through areas that you can only see from a train. It was so green and sunny the whole way down and back up. Josie did fantastic on the train. We camped out in the vista dome both ways and spread out on 3 seats. In the vista dome the seats face the windows so you just watch the scenery go by. It's a car with almost all windows. Josie ate on schedule and slept great on the seat next to me. She flirted with passengers as they walked by or as we walked by on our many trips to the bathroom for a diaper change. She loved visiting Gram and Papa, Aunt Karen & Uncle Luke and of course cousin Katie. She got lots of snuggle time with them all. Instead of her usual sleeping through the night from 8pm to 7am (dream-feed at 10pm), she usually woke at 5am to eat and then went back to sleep until 7am. We got home Friday night and she went right back to her schedule of sleeping til 7am. When in the mood Josie is "talking" up a storm with her sweet little coos. Her smiles are bigger and there's a hint of sounds coming out with her open mouth smiles. I'm sure they'll be coming any day. She's the delight of her parents. We're continually thanking the Lord for her.
