Before meeting our friends Brigit and Kaira at the Oakland Zoo we stopped off to visit Uncle Hank. It was a beautiful day. We walked around his yard and checked out his bushes and flowers and hopefully convinced him to not climb on ladders to trim trees and bushes but to get help for that. Josie was interested in the night light in the bathroom so we got to check out about 3 more through out the house. Of course we checked out the huge bear on the wall and the other mounted animals in the basement. We also helped sort city maps and dumped old versions that were replaced by newer ones. We got a lot accomplished in a hour. Uncle Hank seems to be doing pretty good but lonely I think, for Aunt Mil.

It seems like whenever we go to the zoo the animals are sleeping or just sitting there. We hit the jackpot when we got to the elephants. We were just hanging out watching them when one decides to wander down to the water. And not just for a drink. He actually took a bath. He went all the way under water. We could hear him snorting under the water. The water was filthy but you noticed it was actually clear, clean water except right around the elephant where it was brown, dirty water. That was one dirty elephant. The funny thing is as soon as he walked out he kicked up dust all over himself.

Video of the bath. The crowd got pretty big watching this show and you can hear all the voices in the background of the video.
Cool reflection of Brigit and Kaira and we stared at the gorilla through the class and he stared right back.

Good friends at the zoo together.
