It was another busy and important month in terms of accomplishments. She is now comfortable on her big bike (except for starting and stopping - minor details). She can now tie her shoes but could still use some practice.

I can no longer keep up running while she bikes. There was only 1 day that I could run continuous laps while she biked and now she's too fast.

We traveled to Tucson for Allison's graduation on Thursday night May 12th and returned on Sunday afternoon. It was in the 90's with a slight cloud cover so it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. Hot enough but I'm sure it could have been worse. We staying in a really cute Air BnB.
Josie loved the yard and the animals. I love the yard too, especially the flowers and birds. Rebecca the tortoise was pretty cool too.
There was also a cat.
It was fun to watch Josie with Rebecca and (Brett). She really got attached to these funny looking creatures. She was carrying them around and talking to them. Her wish was for a baby tortoise to be born over the weekend and she would take the baby home.
Backyard
Friday after playing around in the backyard we ventured to the zoo about 10 minutes away. When we arrived around 11:00 many people were leaving. It wasn't too hot and having a lot of shade in the zoo was help along with the cloud cover. The peacocks, which were all over the zoo, were really quite beautiful, especially showing off their tail feathers.

Friday night graduation was in the stadium from 7-10pm. It was still quite warm and stayed warm the whole evening. It was a little cramped sitting jammed in with thousands of others for hours on end. The commencement speaker was the Surgeon General and he was really interesting to listen too. Josie did a great job sitting for that long.
Saturday the graduation was in the arena. This time Allison walked across the stage to get her diploma. Congratulations Allison. You did it!!!

We grabbed some lunch after the zoo and headed over to the resort where Eric's family was staying. Josie met a new friend at the pool. It was a very nice pool area.
Saturday we went to the pool where Rebecca and Uncle Bill were staying. It was much smaller and quieter environment. Nice to have the pool to ourselves.

We flew home Sunday and got ready for the short week ahead.
Thursday May 19th we headed up to Stanford Sierra Camp on Fallen Leaf Lake in South Lake Tahoe for our 21st annual Healthy Living Retreat. The weather was a little chillier than usual. Friday morning we took a walk to the playground and a pond I've never been to before.
Josie and Alina hung out and played together at dinner every night.

Memorial weekend Josie practiced a couple times tying her shoes. Tuesday morning I was surprised to see her tying her shoes. She could still use some practice but she's on her way.
